Project Overview

Selma is an e-commerce platform specializing in the sale of furniture and related household items. The project was completed over a three-month period, utilizing the base code from the Informa application and developed using React Native.

Role and Responsibilities

In this project, my primary responsibilities included:

• Frontend Development:
  • Customizing and developing the user interface based on the Informa application's base code to meet Selma's specific requirements.
  • Implementing responsive designs to ensure a consistent user experience across various devices.
• E-commerce Feature Integration:
  • Integrating product catalogs, shopping cart functionalities, and secure payment systems.
  • Ensuring a seamless checkout process and integration with appropriate payment gateways.
• Testing and Deployment:
  • Conducting thorough testing to ensure application stability and performance.
  • Managing the submission process to both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Challenges and Solutions

• Payment Gateway Integration: Ensuring secure and reliable integration with payment gateways to support user transactions.
  Solution: Following best practices in payment integration and ensuring compliance with industry security standards.

Outcomes and Achievements

• Timely Launch: Completed and launched the application within the three-month project timeline.
• Enhanced User Experience: Users reported an improved shopping experience with an intuitive and responsive interface.
• Increased Sales: Post-launch, there was a noticeable uptick in product sales through the mobile platform.
